Architectural Computer Aided Design Drafting
Wherever you are right now, take a look around you. Much of what you see began as a designer’s simplest sketch, brought to life in three dimensions. With computer-aided design drafting, that designer can be you, creating the plans and technical drawings that bring imagination into the physical world.
From aircraft to office buildings, and toys to cabinetry, drafters work as design technologists, field engineers, drafters, estimators, drafting supervisors and design and drafting department managers to provide the visual guidelines for every product we buy.
When you earn an Associate of Applied Science degree from Sullivan College of Technology & Design, you’ll train on the CADD software that professionals use, in small class settings customized for your needs. At graduation, you’ll be prepared to:
- Create electronic drawings that can be programmed into automated manufacturing systems
- Develop structural blueprints and site plans for commercial buildings or private homes
- Use traditional drafting techniques for a wide range of applications

The organization was conceived by a dedicated and enthusiastic group of oil and gas piping drafters who were involved in various phases of design drafting. This group consisted of highly specialized industry drafters, educational instructors, piping designers, and engineering personnel.
