Prospective Students

Your Future Is Ready. Are You?

Design. Create. Develop. At the Sullivan College of Technology and Design, our goal is to challenge our students to turn their unique talents into a tangible career. Through a focused, hands-on approach, we help each one of our students gain the skills to help them achieve their career goals.

At SCTD, we blend technical knowledge with an understanding of how those skills can help a company, or a community. In fact, many of our graduates have gone on to careers in large companies and non-profit, civic-minded organizations.

What begin in 1961 as the Louisville Technical Institute., Sullivan College has grown into a multi-million dollar campus awarding certificates, diplomas, associate and bachelor's degrees in a variety of technical and design fields to graduates of both day and evening programs.

If you're ready to take on a challenge that can lead to a life-altering career, give us a call at 502-456-6509 or email us.

Sincerely,
Aamer Z. Chauhdri

Transfer Student

Our goal is to help you prepare for a career quickly and successfully. That's why we make it easy for you to transfer credit hours from other accredited post-secondary institutions if they directly apply to your course of study Sullivan College of Technology & Design.

If you've completed classes equivalent to courses offered here and have earned a grade of "C" or better, you can receive credit, so you can complete your chosen program faster. Official transcripts from another college, university or technical school must be provided to our Registrar and Academic Dean, who will determine what course- work is eligible for transfer. If you have other experience – such as advanced high school coursework or an extensive work background – a proficiency exam can help you achieve applicable credit. Our admissions team can help you arrange this.

We maintain high standards so employers choose our graduates

In order to receive a degree, diploma or certificate from the Sullivan College of Technology & Design, you must complete 25% of all program requirements here. Graduating students must attend a mandatory graduate meeting during their last quarter of attendance to verify that all graduation requirements have been met.

If you are interested in transferring to Sullivan College of Technology & Design, you can talk to our Admissions Office at 1-800-844-6528 to arrange for a transcript review.

Transfer of Credit Policy

Sullivan College of Technology & Design will treat credit in dual enrollment programs offered by other institutions and dual credit programs as transfer credit so long as it is presented on an official transcript from an accredited college or university with a grade of "C" or better. This credit will be counted toward Sullivan College of Technology & Design's general degree requirements; however, departmental evaluation will be required before it may be counted toward completion of a specific degree program. Students seeking to transfer credit for dual enrollment/credit to Sullivan College of Technology & Design may expect that credit will be counted toward undergraduate requirements subject to the College's transfer policies and procedures. It is to be noted that not all credit will transfer toward a particular degree program. Students are encouraged to contact the appropriate department chair to determine if transfer is possible in individual cases.

Returning Student

Non-Degree Seeking Student

Students who enroll for personal and/or professional development rather than to pursue a diploma or degree, may apply for admission to the College as non-degree students. Admission status is determined by the information reported by the applicant. A high school transcript or GED certificate is required. There is no limit to the number of credit hours a non-degree student may accumulate. There is, however, no guarantee that should the student decide to convert enrollment status to degree-seeking, that those courses taken while a non-degree student will be applicable to a Sullivan College of Technology and Design degree program. The person who converts to degree-seeking status must meet all regular admissions requirements. Students whose status is non-degree seeking and who are taking individual subjects are responsible for notifying the Registrar's office if they choose to become degree-seeking.
